On Friday,September 26th, the boys and girls in 5th and 6th class competed in the Erris Cross Country race, which was held at the GAA pitch in Tallagh. It was a lovely day. We raced really well and did our best. Ailish came 10th and qualified for the Mayo Cross Country finals. Our girls got a combined score and came 3rd in the team event. This meant we also qualified for the Mayo finals.

So, on Thursday October 2nd, we travelled to Belleek to compete. Boys and girls from all over Mayo were there. Well over 100 children ran in each race. Everybody gave 100%, finished a very tough course and had fun. The day was finished off with a walk in Beeleek Woods and a well deserved visit to Supermac!
