We sowed vegetables in our veggie plot last April. We set potatoes, carrots, onions and lettuce. They grew really fast. Last week, we harvested our crop. It was great fun and very interesting. Everybody brought some vegetables home and we left some at school for the soup.
Last Friday, we cleaned, chopped and sliced the ingredients. Everybody got the chance to do something. We enjoyed the soup for lunch. It was delicious.
It tasted so much better than usual soup because we had set, harvested and cooked the vegetables ourselves!
