At our school we had a lot of things to do during science
week, all of them being plenty of fun! On Monday we enjoyed an interactive science table quiz. We continued this exciting week with a
paper tower challenge on Tuesday. The challenge is you only have ten sheets of paper and a
metre of tape to use to make a tall tower that can hold an egg for 30 seconds.
We competed for the challenge at the Broadhaven Bay Hotel. We learned a lot and had great fun. A few days after
this great event, we went to a science show that showed us how magic tricks
work through science and how science is everyday things! The hosts were extremely strong. On Friday, 4th
and 5th class made more towers except they were made out of
spaghetti and marshmallows! It was like another competition. The winners were
Dáibhí, Paddy, Colm and Mia. That was our school’s science week finished, we
had lots of fun and learned a lot.
