From September 6th-September 11th, we ran our annual "Friendship Week" in Barnatra NS. During this week, the focus is on our friends, how to treat them, how to appreciate them and how to be a good friend. Various cross-curricular activities are organised and it gets our new school year off to a great positive start. This is one of our in-school anti-bullying initiatives and we feel it works great.
As a follow-up to our "Friendship Week", Cliona Sheehan, from the National Parents Council - Primary visited our school on Tuesday September 22nd. She gave a very informative and interesting talk to the parents on bullying, how to talk and listen to their children, how to recognise signs and how best to help their loved ones.
Great talk by Cliona, well done to the organisers !!!
