Our Aquarium

We have really enjoyed observing and learning about the sea creatures in our classroom fish-tank over the last month.

On February 25th, Noreen from the aquarium in Galway arrived to set up our very own aquarium (it was ours for a month anyway!). She told us of the creatures and how to care for them. We have shared our classroom with the following: a starfish, a prawn, a hermit crab, 2 sea anemone, a butterfish, a rock goby, a sand goby, a two-spotted goby and a plaice. There has been great excitement and dramas. A lot of classes were based on fish, we did lots of research and we have learned so much.

Our friends are leaving this Friday, March 27th and we will miss them!
